E4C Climate Change
“We are the first generation to feel the effect of climate change and the last generation who can do something about it.”
Barack Obama Tweet
Climate change is the largest threat to the survival of humanity and is a concrete and tangible reality in all corners of the world. The blindness of some governments and the economic interests of industrial giants that produce energy from fossil fuels have altered the natural equilibrium of the planet, putting at risk the existence of hundreds of thousands of animal and vegetable species.
Quick, effective and shared counter-action is urgent, but it may not be enough. The main objective of the project is to contribute to information about the 2030 Agenda and accompaniment to action for individuals and communities about climate change and its consequences, as indicated by Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 13: "Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts".
Citizens will be called to act on a daily basis, adopting responsible practices and behaviors at individual and community level, to combat climate change and for the sustainable use of resources. Taking into account the interdependence between local and global dimensions in issues related to climate change, the project focuses on a better understanding of the phenomenon of environmental migration. At the same time, it improves empathy towards those who are forced to leave their land due to extreme weather events or the progressive deterioration of natural resources.
This Escape Room was built within the project Escape4Change, in collaboration with Associazione Eufemia, awarded by the Consorzio ONG Piemontesi (COP), in the framework more broad of the European project Frame, Voice, Report funded by the European Commission.
Project partners: LVIA, COP, Specchio dei Tempi-La Stampa (media partner).
